Contract Description:
This contract is a continuation of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes (SBT) SIWM program. Work under the FY18
contract will build on the work completed in FY17.

Highlights from the FY 17 SBT SIWM contract include:

1. Continued efforts on the acquisition of Lavaside North
2.  Participated in 2018 ISRP program review
3. Continued restoration efforts at Legacy Springs Mitigation area
a. Significant work in Russian olive removal using Tribal field crew
b. Weed control on grassland plantings
4. Continued restoration efforts at Bannock Creek Mitigation area
5. Continue Operations and Management on program lands

Highlights of work to be completed under the FY18 contract include:

1.  Close on Lavaside North property
2. Investigate potential land acquisitions
3. Continue habitat restoration efforts at the Legacy Springs Mitigation area.
a. Brush management to control Russian olive
b. plant grassland vegetation to control weeds and improve habitat based on test planting results
c. Weed control
d. shrub and riparian vegetation restoration project
4. Continue habitat restoration efforts at Bannock Creek
a. Russian olive removal
c. weed control
5. Continue operations and management on program lands.
